Mississippi Nurses Association

The Mississippi Nurses Associations is the advocate for the more than 42,000 registered nurses in the state. The association leads the nation with the largest percentage of nurses as members among the non-union states belonging to American Nurses Association. For more than 100 years, MNA's commitment to the profession of nursing has reached out to all registered nurses across the state regardless of membership. MNA members represent their colleagues socially, politically, and professionally. MNA actively participates in initiatives, educational programs and workshop focused at solving many of Mississippi's health care and social issues. Through MNA's Political Action Committee and its Council on Health Affairs, MNA is well respected among state and national lawmakers and officials for its unyielding efforts to protect the nurse's scope of practice and to eliminate of barriers preventing nurses from reaching the full scope of their practice.
