AvantGarde Strategies, LLC

A native of Kosciusko, Serena earned a BA, in English from Delta State in 1997, & in 2001 a Master of Liberal Studies at Millsaps. A Herrin Hess Scholar at MCSOL, she earned a J.D. in 2004 & joined ButlerSnow. In 2008 Serena joined Gov. Barbour as policy advisor & legislative liaison for technology, communications, energy, gaming, bonds, tax & economic development. In 2010, she joined MCSOL as an adjunct professor, & established AvantGarde Strategies LLC, a government relations consulting firm. Serena is Leadership Attala graduate, a life member of Junior Auxiliary, Secretary of the DSU National Alumni Assoc., a class of 2010, MS Business Journal's 50 Leading Business Women, the 2011 Kent Wyatt Outstanding Young Alumnus, & in 2012 was selected for the MS Bar Leadership Forum.
